Wolfenstein 3D(TM) COLOR
This is an Adventure Game
Mactivity's CD-ROM nr 10 advice: This application did
run on a color 68030 processor under System 7.1, but
the behaviour on a ColorScreen of a PowerMacintosh
running System 7.1.2 was not satisfying. Our advice:
use only on 68030 processors, or try with caution
on a 68040 processor
Attention: needs a COLOR monitor.
Story
Just a few weeks ago you were on a reconnaissance mission
of extreme importance. You were to infiltrate the
Nazi fortress and find the plans for Operation Eisenfaust.
Captured in your attempt, you were taken to their
prison, and awaited your execution. Only you know
where the plans are kept, and the Allies will face
a great defeat if you don't escape! You must face
the horrors of the prison keep known as Wolfenstein.
Captain William J. "B.J." Blazkowicz, you've
got a gun and thirty floors of hell to get through.
Good luck! Hey, if you make it, you'll have something
to tell your grandkids about .... If you don't, at
least you'll go out in a blaze of glory!
System Requirements
Wolfenstein 3D runs on any color Macintosh computer
with System 6.0.7 or later and 2200K free memory. More
memory is required if you want to run with all music
and sound effects and a game window that fills the
screen. If you run the program with only 2200K free,
music and sound effects will be disabled until you
can free up more memory (or buy more). If you have
6000K free memory available, Wolfenstein 3D will eat
it up. We recommend a 25Mhz 68030 Macintosh or faster,
meaning a Macintosh IIci or LC III-class machine.
This will let you play at a good speed in the smallest
game window. If you want to play with a larger game
window, you'll need a faster Macintosh. Wolfenstein
3D is a "fat binary" and runs entirely in
native PowerPC code if you have a Power Macintosh!
Wolfenstein 3D works well with joysticks and pads.
We've included a set on this disk for the Gravis GamePad,
called "Wolfenstein 3D(TM) set".
Finally, if you are running System 6, we really recommend
that you upgrade to the newest version of System software
available.
