Realmz 1.3.1 COLOR This is a Strategy Game Mactivity's CD-ROM nr 10 advice: This application did run on a color 68030 processor under System 7.1, but the behaviour on a ColorScreen of a PowerMacintosh running System 7.1.2 was not satisfying. Our advice: use only on 68030 or on 68040 processors. Attention: needs a COLOR monitor. Simulation game, very big !! 1) May not work with 100% compatability on AV equiped Macs such as the 660AV, 840AV, PowerMac AV or just about any other AV Mac. I am working to try and correct this problem. 2) Does not like to deal with screen savers. Disable or deactivate them, so that they do not have the opportunity to take control. The problem here is that I update the game screens in a special way to maximize speed, thus I don't use the normal window update detections. This leaves you with a mass of blank space when coming back from a screen saver. 3) Does not switch to the background via selection of (by clicking on) other running programs in the application menu. (Hell if I know why.) To place Realmz in the background, you must select Hide Realmz from the application menu or click on the desktop directly. 4) The suggested memory for Realmz is 1900K. The more you give it, the better and faster it will run. 3000K should be enough to maximize the performance. Back to the Computer Games Index
