MicroBridge Demo This is a Cards Game Mactivity's CD-ROM nr 10 advice: This application did run on a b/w 68030 processor under System 7.1. It was also tested on a big ColorScreen of a PowerMacintosh running System 7.1.2. The game was also tested on a Quadra with 68040 processor and a 13 inch Color Screen and System 7.1 by Mactivity. By far. In the 15 comparison categories, Micro-Bridge Companion came in first by a wide margin in all but 1 - in "Sounds/Visuals", it tied for first. It was much stronger (bidding and play), much faster, and took much less RAM & disk space than the competition. It had superb on-line documentation (printed docs are weak). It was hard to find: see "Ordering Info" file for sources. One quantitive comparison: the author took 12 bridge columns (from Omar Sharif's column - who endorses Bridge Deluxe, one of the "other" programs), and had each program play them. On each of the 12 hands, he awarded match points (IMPs) to each program based on how well they did with respect to the worst result for that hand.
