Ditch Day Drifter This is an Adventure Game Mactivity's CD-ROM nr 10 advice: This application did run on a b/w 68030 processor under System 7.1. It was also tested on a big ColorScreen of a PowerMacintosh running System 7.1.2. The game was also tested on a Quadra with 68040 processor and a 13 inch Color Screen and System 7.1 by Mactivity. Ditch Day Drifter is a game that demonstrates TADS, the Text Adventure Development System, a programming tool for writing text adventure games. To start the game, just double click on "Ditch Day Drifter". You can edit command lines using the normal Macintosh text editing methods. You can copy from any text on the screen, and paste into the command line. The "review mode" that the documentation refers to is not actually a "mode" on the Macintosh; instead, you can look back through text that has scrolled out of the window by using the scroll region as usual. At the top of the window is the Status Line, which shows your location and the current score and turn count.Each saved game is stored in a separate file, so there is no limit to the number of games you an save (except for how much space you have on your disks). When you save or restore a game, a standard file selector dialogue will be displayed that will allow you to select a filename. Back to the Computer Games Index
